Hello friends. I promise this chapter ends on a happy note, but first I need to put some memories onto paper.
I received a phone call from a former neighbor asking if I knew how someone we both know had passed away. I told them that I didn’t even know she had died.
To my amazement, the caller had no idea you could see obituaries online. I looked up our friend’s name plus the word obit and it was the top result. VERY little content, it was almost an off the rack template notice. No family or funeral/memorial info. Just two very short paragraphs that could have been about anyone. Beyond her name, there was nothing personal about the obit.
Memories, mostly good, a few horrible, flooded in. My gut reaction to the “how she died” does not sit well. Which mentally brought on a flood of other people I knew, and
